Conheça a campanha
A FFIPP-BRASIL
(english version below)

FFIPP-Brazil
FFIPP-Brazil is an Educational Network for Human Rights in Palestine/Israel. It is a non-profit organization, engaged with educational activities, information exchange and problematization of relevant issues regarding the palestinian-israeli matter to the Brazilian community.
The organization’s main objective is to critically bring the palestinian and israeli realities closer to the Brazilian society, in such a way that it contributes to the end of the israeli occupation of the Palestinian Territories and of the violation of fundamental human rights.
Founded in the United States, by a group of university professors, in the context of the signature of the Oslo Accords between israelis and palestinians, FFIPP spread around the world and now has chapters in the Netherlands, France, Poland and Brazil.
FFIPP-Brazil, since 2012, is horizontally and collectively organized, by teachers, journalists, internationalists, historians and students, all of them volunteers - and all of them former participants of the Educational Program in Palestine/Israel, which occurs once a year, between January and February.
Below, the groups that participated of the Educational Program in 2015, 2014 and 2013

THE CROWD FUNDING CAMPAIGN
In the beginning of 2013, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, FFIPP-Brazil organized it’s first Educational Program in Palestine/Israel with a delegation of 21 young Brazilians. It was the first time that a delegation from the south hemisphere took part in a FFIPP program.
Since then, other two trips have taken place, resulting in over 70 Brazilians that travelled to the region with FFIPP-Brazil. The 4th edition of the program is planned for 2016, when approximately thirty new participants will head on to Palestine/Israel.
Besides the Educational Program, FFIPP-Brazil promotes seminars, conferences and debates about the conflict. However, after these first years of experience, the organization seeks to expand it’s reach in the country and, also, abroad.
At this point, we searched for collective financing so we can continue to carry through the Educational Program, which implies in extremely high costs (see below), as well as promote an extension course, here in Brazil, about the Palestinian/Israeli issue, with our experience in the region. We also seek to develop a new internet page, that will serve as an information and knowledge database for students, professors, researchers, journalists and for the general public.
The Educational Program in loco counts with costs such as: airline tickets, transportation, food and accommodation for the coordinators of FFIPP-Brazil, that organize the Program. The course’s costs include the rental of appropriate space and equipment, besides the confection of educational and marketing material. The new website implies in costs with programing development, hosting, maintenance and content production.
FFIPP-Brazil is an financially and politically independent organization. To accomplish it’s activities and keep itself running throughout the year (considering accountant fees and government taxes), it depends entirely of the money provided by the participants of the Educational Program in Palestine/Israel and of donations from it’s integrants.
Therefore, this crowd funding with Benfeitoria is of extreme importance. It is necessary to take the next step with this debate in Brazil and Latin America and, for that, we hope to count with the support of all of you: institutions, foundations, collectives, organizations and individuals interested in knowing more about the palestinian/israeli matter, it’s history, interests, myths and reliable data. We believe that the better understanding of this matter, beyond the hegemonic discourse, means to understand what truly happens in the region, allowing a political change in the relation between israelis and palestinians, and a broadening of the critical perspective of the Brazilian public about the conflict and the contemporary world in general.

THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM IN PALESTINE/ISRAEL
Organized once a year between January and February, the Educational Program of FFIPP-Brazil in Palestine/Israel has the main goal of offering the participants the opportunity of finding for themselves a complex political situation, and to gain experience in their own field of interest.
The Program includes:
Orientation Week, that takes place in Israel and in the West Bank, counting with tours and meetings in Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Hebron and the Jordan Valley. It also includes visits to refugee camps and settlements around Jerusalem, besides meetings with palestinian and israeli activists and professors.
One month experience in an partner’s organization in the Occupied Territories or in Israel. Our partner organizations act in various fields, such as international law, water issues, economics, urbanism and mobility, women’s rights and refugees.
Once they come back, the participants engage in the Palestina/Israel matter in various ways, either being part of FFIPP-Brazil or other organizations that relate to the issue, carrying on academic research, journalistic reports, audiovisual content, and engaging with human rights and education, etc.
You can check out a collaborative blog, updated by the participants of the first program, in 2013; and also a webpage with features from this year’s participants.

THE FFIPP-BRAZIL EXTENSION COURSE
Created by the integrants of FFIPP-Brazil that have already been in Palestine/Israel with the Educational Program, the course seeks to bring the rich experience in loco and the knowledge collected about the conflict, starting from a dynamic and participative methodology.
The course brings to light the main issues of the territory’s reality in Palestine/Israel, which imply in elucidate narratives we believe are marginalized or distorted. It will be built from experience, which means, from the conversations, interviews and lived experience in the occupied West Bank and Israel.
Besides, the contemporary complexities will be always debated having History as background, so we can comprehend more clearly the trajectory and causes of the present. The main themes are: Jerusalem; Israel and it’s palestinian citizens; Oslo: the lives between the Palestinian Authority and the military israeli control; the palestinian refugees; israeli society and it’s contradictions (A reflection about the Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial); the Gaza Strip and International Law.
THE FFIPP-BRAZIL NEW WEB SITE
The new web site proposes a platform that not only intends to keep the public updated on information about the organization, but also a database for sources and debate points that concern the palestinian/israeli matter and that are not usually brought to light by the main stream media.
Having that in mind, the new web site proposes to be a reference in terms of archiving information and bibliography that can function as a start point for those who wish to know more about the issue. Besides, we intend to elaborate a interactive platform, that interacts with our social networks and presents itself in a more clear manner for those who wish to participate in the organization’s activities.
