O FILME

Em 7 de maio de 2017,banhistas localizaram um pé humano em estado avançado dedecomposição na orla de uma praia do Guarujá, no litoral paulista. A polícia nunca investigou o caso. Pés continuam sendo achados na cidade.

A partir dessa notícia,filmaremos em película 16mm um curta-metragem de cerca de 20 minutos. São três histórias diferentes que se relacionam com o misterioso achado do pé no Guarujá, a Pérola do Atlântico. Três narrativas, três recortes sociais.

Fora, se passa a história de Miltinho, um vendedor de óculos escuros sob o forte sol da praia. Dentro, acompanhamos Elisa, uma socialite que chega no limite de seu casamento com um empreiteiro golpista em seu belo casarão. Entre, seguimos Pardal, um jovem da capital que chega na cidade para se despedir da mãe, recém-falecida.

RELEVÂNCIA

Paranós, cinema é coisa séria. É arte: expressão e trabalho. Em tempos mais difíceis, o cinema brasileiro sempre se mostrou adaptável, realizando coisas lindas com pouco. O projeto vem sendo desenvolvido desde dezembro de 2019, mas a pandemia adiou as filmagens. A readaptação dos trabalhos também afeta o cinema. Por isso, pretendemos rodar esse filme de maneira segura e econômica usando recursos simples que o cinema nos dá. Sabemos que podemos nos mobilizar para um trabalho responsável, retratando a cidade de Guarujá como palco de uma misteriosa tragédia ou, se preferir, um trágico mistério.

ELENCO PRINCIPAL

Thaís Pacholek: Com uma carreira de sucesso no cinema e na televisão, participando de longas e novelas de sucesso, Thaís interpretará Elisa, uma socialite que perdeu a alma de sonhadora e está decidida a mudar sua vida. 

Miltinho Messias: Experiente trabalhador do audiovisual em várias áreas: câmera, produção, elétrica e atuação. Dessa vez será nosso galã, no papel homônimo de Miltinho, e diretor de produção.

Martim Bracher: Ator e palhaço, possui uma espetáculo chamado "Cabo Petri e Sargento Tossindo" e viverá o papel de Pardal, um outsider de passos tortos.

Plínio Soares: Crescido em Cubatão, sua vida mudou quando se tornou ator e entrou na EAD. Desde então, construiu uma longa trajetória tanto no teatro quanto no cinema. Dará vida a Pirata, um velhaco de praia conhecedor dos fantasmas do Guarujá.

Carol Ueno: Natural do Guarujá, onde foi condecorada Miss em 2008, Carol construiu uma carreira como modelo e atriz em cinema, teatro, TV e publicidades. No nosso filme, interpretará Janaína, uma guarujaense que, como Pardal, acabou de perder um ente querido: seu marido foi engolido pelo mar.

João Rubio Rubinato: Formado em Ciências Sociais, é músico e diretor de cinema apaixonado pela experimentação em diversos formatos, tanto na forma quanto no conteúdo. Esse é seu projeto mais ambicioso até o momento. Veja seu último trabalho: vimeo.com/391407228

Nicolas Casal: Estudou Cinema, Psicologia e agora segue o caminho das letras, na crença de que se crianças não param de nascer, leitores também não. Além de poeta, como não poderia deixar de ser, é nosso estimado roteirista nessa empreitada. 

Sthefano Duque: Nosso produtor executivo e anfitrião já foi chamado de publicitário, empreendedor e estudante de Ciências Sociais (ESPM). Mas a verdade é que seu negócio é concretizar ideias.

ORÇAMENTO

Já investimos muita energia e recursos desde o final do passado para a realização desse filme. Agora preciamos da sua ajuda para tirar o nosso roteiro do papel e pagar o valor necessário para quem está trabalhando no elenco, pagar as locações, comprar os materiais de arte (figurinos, objetos...), o material senvível (três rolos de 16mm) e revelar todo o material em 2K. THE MOVIE

On May 7th 2017, beachgoers located a human foot in an advanced state of putrefaction by the sea on a beach in Guarujá, in the São Paulo shore. The police never investigated the case. Feet are still being found in the town.

Based on these events, we will shoot a 20-minute short film in 16mm stock. There are three different stories which relate to the mysterious finding of the foot in Guarujá, the Pearl of the Atlantic. Three narratives, three social contours.

Outside is the story of Miltinho, a charismatic sunglasses salesman under the sizzling beach sun. Inside, we follow Elisa, a socialite who has reached the limit of her marriage to a scamming real estate developer in their beautiful seaside mansion. In Between, we follow Pardal, a young man from the capital who arrives in town to say goodbye to his mother, who has just passed away.

RELEVANCE

To us, film is a serious subject. It is art: expression and labor. In more difficult times, Brazilian cinema has always proven itself adaptive, realizing beautiful works with very little. This project is being developed since December 2019, but the pandemic pushed back the shoots. The re-adaptation of labor also affects film. Because of that, we intend to shoot this movie safely and economically, using simple resources that film provides us with. We know we can coordinate the work responsibly, portraying the city of Guarujá as the stage for a mysterious tragedy or, if you will, a tragic mystery.

MAIN CAST

Thaís Pacholek: With a successful career in film and television, Thaís will play Elisa, a socialite who has lost her dreamer soul and is decided to change her life.

Miltinho Messias: Experienced worker in the industry in many fields: camera, producing, gaffing and acting. This time, he’s our gallant star in the homonymous role of Miltinho, and our producer.

Martim Bracher: Actor and clown, he has a show called “Cabo Petri & Sargento Tossindo” and will star as Pardal, an outsider who walks with crooked steps.

Plínio Soares: Raised in Cubatão, a neighboring city to Guarujá, his life changed when he became an actor and entered the Dramatic Arts School at the University of São Paulo. Since then, he has built a long career both in film and in theater. He will portray Pirata, an old beach rat who knows all about the ghosts of Guarujá.

Carol Ueno: Native from Guarujá, where she earned the title of Miss in 2008, Carol built a career as a model and actress in film, theater, TV and advertisement. In our movie, she'll play Janaína, a girl from Guarujá who, like Pardal, has just lost someone close to her: her husband was swallowed by the sea.

CREW

Nicolas Casal: He has studied Cinema, Psychology and now he follows the path of the letters, in the belief that if children won’t stop being born, readers also won’t. Besides a poet, because it could not be any other way, he’s our esteemed screenwriter in this endeavor.

Sthefano Duque: Our executive producer and host has been called an advertising man, an entrepreneur and a Social Sciences student. But the truth is that his business is concretizing ideas.

Martina Van Steen: Filmmaker and Social Sciences major, the films she made range from movies about organized soccer fan associations to music videos. Camila Braune: Having graduated from the most prestigious film school in Brazil, FAAP, Camila has been involved in a range of works for cinema and advertisement. She’ll be responsible for our production sound.

Gabriel Franco: An actor with experience in advertisement and features, Franco will be our production assistant, helping to articulate the operational tasks of the movie with the resources of the city of Guarujá.

Raíssa Andrade: An Architecture major studying scenography, she will be our art assistant.
