O Festival ECRÃ surgiu de um sonho de criar um espaço para que artistas audiovisuais experimentais pudessem demonstrar o seu trabalho, com o objetivo de expandir a cena cultural do Brasil e permitir que mais pessoas tivessem acesso ao conhecimento!
Em 2017, o primeiro ECRÃ ocorreu com 10 obras, em dois dias de evento e muito esforço dos voluntários, essa energia coletiva abriu um espaço inicial para o experimental no Brasil.
Agora, quatro anos depois, e com o trabalho e contribuição de muita gente, o Festival chega em sua quinta edição, contando com 120 obras nacionais e internacionais - em sua maioria exclusivas -, variando entre filmes, artes interativas, performances e games, todas sendo experienciadas de forma gratuita e online.
Ao longo de nossa trajetória, obtivemos o apoio e confiança de importantes instituições como MAM, PUC-Rio e Sesc; atingimos um público de mais de 30 mil pessoas; nos firmando como um dos mais relevantes festivais da cena experimental no Brasil e no mundo.
Ainda assim, o Festival ocorre de forma independente e sem patrocínio, portanto, contamos com a sua contribuição para financiar custos de realização, remunerar a equipe e expandir nossas atividades e ações ao longo do ano, através de sessões extras, artigos, pesquisas e oficinas. E da criação do Lab ECRÃ, um espaço para ensino, divulgação e criação de obras audiovisuais.

Festival ECRÃ arose from a dream of creating a space for experimental audiovisual artists to demonstrate their work, with the aim of expanding the cultural scene in Brazil and allowing more people to have access to knowledge!
In 2017, the first ECRÃ took place with 10 works, in two days of event and a lot of effort from the volunteers, this collective energy opened an initial space for the experimental in Brazil.
Now, four years later, and with the work and contribution of many people, the Festival reaches its fifth edition, featuring 120 national and international works - mostly exclusive -, ranging from films, interactive arts, performances and games, all being experienced for free and online.
Throughout our trajectory, we have obtained the support and trust of important institutions such as MAM, PUC-Rio and Sesc; we reached an audience of over 30,000 people; establishing us as one of the most relevant festivals in the experimental scene in Brazil and in the world.
Even so, the Festival takes place independently and without sponsorship, therefore, we count on your contribution to finance the costs of realization, remunerate the team and expand our activities and actions throughout the year, through extra sessions, articles, research and workshops . And the creation of the ECRÃ Lab, a space for teaching, publicizing and creating audiovisual works.
