O CÍRCULO HOLÍSTICO ARCA DA MONTANHA AZUL é uma instituição religiosa localizada em Laranjeiras, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, que teve seus primeiros trabalhos realizados no ano de 1989. Nossas atividades têm como principal objetivo conhecer, proteger e divulgar as mais diversas sagradas tradições e religiões presentes em nossa cultura. No mesmo espaço físico, anteriormente a fundação oficial da Arca em 1997, funcionava desde 1989 a primeira filial da Igreja da Barquinha – tradicional entidade ayahuasqueira do Brasil - fundada fora do Acre e conduzida aqui por Philippe e Marília, sua companheira na época. Logo, já são mais de trinta anos de trabalhos espirituais contínuos realizados neste endereço. Apenas nos últimos 7 anos, temos em torno de 100 participantes por cerimônia, resultando em uma média de 300-400 pessoas circulando na Casa mensalmente.

Philippe Bandeira de Mello, orientador espiritual da Casa, é psicólogo e por anos realizou um trabalho frutífero e reconhecido na Casa das Palmeiras em parceria com a Drª Nise da Silveira. Em inspiração a esse trabalho, é incluída na metodologia da Arca uma mesa com material de desenho e escrita e as pessoas são incentivadas a se expressarem livremente durante as cerimônias. O material de imagens e escritos, que fica arquivado, é considerado por Philippe como uma continuação e expansão do trabalho da Drª Nise. 

A metáfora da Casa é a da Arca de Noé, acolhendo as pessoas que se identificam com uma espiritualidade universalista, reforçando a conexão de cada uma com a tradição escolhida por seu coração, guardando as sementes dos ensinamentos das boas tradições e dos mestres de diferentes tempos e lugares. 

WHO WE ARE

THE CÍRCULO HOLÍSTICO ARCA DA MONTANHA AZUL (Blue Mountain’s Ark Holistic Circle) is a religious institution located in the neighborhood of Laranjeiras, in Rio de Janeiro, which had its first ceremonies in 1989. Our activities have as main goal to get to know, protect and divulge the most diverse sacred traditions and religions present in our culture. In the same physical space, before the official founding of Ark in 1997, worked since 1989 the first filial church from Igreja da Barquinha - one of the most traditional brazilian ayahuasca church institutions - founded in Acre and conducted by Philippe and Marília, then his wife. So, it's over 30 years of spiritual ceremonies being conducted in this address. Just in the last 7 years, we have had around a hundred participants per ceremony, a total of 300 to 400 people visiting the house monthly. 

Philippe Bandeira de Mello, spiritual director of the House, is a psychologist that for years worked a very fruitful and acknowledged work with Dr. Nise da Silveira in Casa das Palmeiras. Inspired by this work, Ark’s methodology includes a table with drawing and writing material, and people are given incentive towards expressing themselves freely during the ceremonies. The images and written material, which are carefully archived, are considered by Philippe to be a continuation and expansion of Dr. Nise’s work.

The metaphor of the house is that of Noah’s Ark, receiving people that identify themselves with an universalist spirituality, reinforcing the connection of each one with their heart’s chosen tradition, keeping the good seeds of teachings from good masters and traditions of different times and places.                                                                                        

(We plan to apply the resources this way: 87,5% for structural works and repair, 11,5% for fees and costs and 1% for rewards)

Além da pandemia causada pelo novo coronavírus, neste momento a Arca enfrenta questões emergenciais e necessita de obras estruturais e reparos sem os quais, mesmo quando toda esta crise mundial passar, não estaremos em condições de reabrir para a realização de cerimônias.

Adiamos o financiamento coletivo, que estava previsto para março deste ano, até que se conseguisse entender como passaríamos por este desafio e, à época, a campanha estava direcionada para as obras de adaptação do imóvel a fim de que o som produzido durante os nossos trabalhos fosse tratado, amenizando os transtornos sobre os quais fomos notificados pelos vizinhos, uma vez que nossas cerimônias aconteciam no período noturno. Hoje o cenário mudou. Estamos diante da ameaça real de não podermos continuar oferecendo nosso serviço espiritual, devido às precárias condições em que a casa se encontra.

Com o sucesso desta campanha, através da sua ajuda, realizaremos:

Reforma da parte elétrica - Atualmente, as instalações elétricas precisam ser substituídas. Estamos funcionando há muito tempo sem devida manutenção e correndo risco de curto circuito e incêndio;

Reforço da grade da varanda - Local para onde as cerimônias se estendem na imensa maioria das vezes e onde muitos visitantes inadvertidamente se encostam, fazendo-se necessária uma fixação e um suporte mais seguros;

Manta asfáltica - Esta é uma obra que há muito tempo precisamos fazer para acabar com as goteiras dentro do espaço cerimonial e eliminar os vazamentos que comprometem a parte elétrica e a estrutura da varanda;

Reforma do piso - O revestimento do chão do salão está soltando devido ao tempo de uso;

Tratamento acústico - Este, que foi o motivo pelo qual iniciamos todo este movimento em janeiro deste ano, é determinante para que possamos realizar nossas cerimônias sem causar impacto sonoro na vizinhança;

Reforma do muro que divide o terreno - O antigo muro que limita a parte inferior do terreno precisou ser derrubado pois já estava condenado. Agora, é preciso construir uma outra estrutura que deve, além de atender ao objetivo de proteger a casa, sustentar o volume de terra que desce quando chove.

Com a campanha de financiamento coletivo A Arca É Nossa temos o propósito de tornar o imóvel seguro novamente para que, assim que for possível, conforme as orientações das autoridades em saúde, voltemos a servir com a fé e o amor de sempre.

Here we explain what we will do with each goal achieved:

Goal 1 - Emergency Repairs  I  Amount: R$46.000,00 _ approx. US$8.090,00 - as of October 5th 2020.
We’re able to make the emergency repairs to avoid further damage that may compromise completely the building’s structure!

The reform of our electrical plant; Reinforce the safety fence; Impermeabilization of the roof; Rebuild the lower wall dividing the terrain. 

Goal 2 - Improvements of the Hall  I  Amount: R$58.000,00 _ approx. US$10.211,00 - as of October 5th 2020.
We’re able to make the emergency repairs and adapt the building’s structure so, when the time comes, we can realize our spiritual works again!!

Reform the floor.

Goal 3 - Soundproofing  I  Amount: R$70.000,00 _ approx. US$12.323,00 - as of October 5th 2020.
We’re able to make the emergency repairs, adapt the building’s structure, and when the time comes, realize our spiritual works with more comfort and safety for our visitors, and reducing the impact of our ceremonies sound to our neighborhood.

Adaptation of acoustic conditions.

THE PROJECT

Aside from the 2020 COVID pandemic, in this moment Arca has been facing urgent matters and is in desperate need of structural works and repair without which, even when the global crisis is averted, will make it impossible for us to carry on with our ceremonies.

We delayed the crowdfunding, which was to be released in march this year, until we could collectively understand how we would go through this challenge and at the time. The campaign was directed towards adaptations of the building so as to isolate the sounds from our works from impacting the surrounding area, since our ceremonies happen during the night. Today the scenery changed. We are facing a real threat, of not being able to offer our spiritual work, due to the precarious conditions that the house is currently in.

With the success of this campaign, through your help, we will perform:

The reform of our electrical plant - Currently the electrical installations need to be replaced. We have been working for too long without proper maintenance and are under risk of short circuits and fires;

Reinforce the safety fence - A place in which the ceremonies extend to most of the time, and where many visitors, unaware, lie against, making it necessary to have stronger support for the fence;

Impermeabilization of the roof - This reform is pending for a long time, and we need it to fix leaks and seepage in the ceremonial space that also compromise the electrical structure, the structure of the open area, and our sound equipment;

Reform the floor - The floor covering in the ceremony hall is worn and tearing from use;

Adaptation of acoustic conditions - This, the reason we started the project earlier in the year, is fundamental for us to keep our ceremonies from impacting the environment and the neighbors in a harmful way;

Rebuild the lower wall dividing the terrain - The old wall that limits the terrain from the one down the slope had to be taken down since it was already condemned. Now, another structure must be built that should, beyond protecting the house, sustain the weight of the terrain in the rainy season.

With Ark’s crowdfunding campaign - Ark Is Ours! -, we have as purpose to turn the space safe again so that, as soon as possible and following the sanitary specialists’s recommendations, we can go back to serve with the faith and love we always had.
