Este é o site oficial da campanha “Engajamundo na COP29”!
A COP29 é o espaço internacional mais importante para decisões climáticas. Ocupar espaços políticos de tomada de decisão são extremamente importantes para o presente e o futuro de todos nós. E, enquanto jovens da sociedade civil brasileira, estarmos presentes nestes espaços é tão necessário quanto desafiador.
O Engajamundo é uma organização liderada por jovens que acreditam na sua responsabilidade como parte fundamental da solução para enfrentar os maiores desafios socioambientais do Brasil e do mundo! Já participamos de 10 Conferências das Partes da Convenção-Quadro das Nações Unidas sobre Mudanças Climáticas. Agora, nosso objetivo é marcar presença também na 11ª edição, a COP29, que acontece este ano em Baku, no Azerbaijão.
Para que seja possível levarmos nossa delegação de juventudes diversas, super capacitadas e cheias de energia para ocupar esse espaço e influenciar políticas climáticas mais justas e eficazes, precisamos do seu apoio!
Nossa 1ª meta será no modelo “TUDO OU NADA”. Caso não batermos a meta, o dinheiro será devolvido aos doadores. E o valor? Vinte mil reais (R$20.000,00)!
Este valor irá contribuir para os custos de hospedagem da delegação durante as duas semanas de Conferência. Mas, a nossa delega é composta por 22 membros e para garantir que todes tenham sua participação garantida na COP29, precisaremos efetivamente de R$35.000,00 (nossa quarta e última meta).

QUEM SOMOS?
A missão do Engajamundo é despertar nos jovens brasileiros a consciência de que, ao mudarem a si mesmos, engajando-se em suas comunidades e na política, podem transformar suas realidades e das pessoas ao seu redor. Temos mais de 2.200 jovens na rede e 385 jovens ativos por todo o Brasil. Operamos tanto em uma estrutura online, com grupos de trabalho dedicados a temas como clima, biodiversidade, gênero e cidades e comunidades sustentáveis, quanto em uma estrutura offline, com grupos de voluntários em diversas cidades brasileiras, focados na territorialização dos biomas e suas pautas específicas.
O ENGAJA EM CONFERÊNCIAS DA ONU
No Grupo de Trabalho de Clima, já temos um longo histórico na Conferências das Partes da Convenção-Quadro das Nações Unidas sobre Mudanças Climáticas (UNFCCC): COPs 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 e 28. Além disso, estivemos presentes na Climate Week (LAC Climate Week 2019), Conferência de Bonn, nas Comissões sobre a Situação das Mulheres (CSW) da ONU, a Conferência da Água, Habitat III, Assembleias Gerais, e outros eventos regionais e internacionais, como a People’s Summit e estamos coordenando nossa 2ª Conferência Climática Regional de Juventudes Latinoamericana.
O Engajamundo tem sido uma voz ativa nas discussões dos três principais acordos internacionais em vigor: o Acordo de Paris, a Agenda 2030 e a Nova Agenda Urbana, pressionando os tomadores de decisão para que as demandas e perspectivas das juventudes sejam incorporadas a esses pactos globais.
Também fomos reconhecidos ao longo da nossa jornada: conquistamos uma homenagem pelo Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade, recebemos premiações pelo MIT, Engineering Education for the Future, Climate Reality Project Brazil, (re):pensa e tivemos uma animação premiada no Festival Internacional de Cinema White Unicorn.
POR QUE QUEREMOS E PRECISAMOS ESTAR NA COP29?
Em 2024, a COP29 acontecerá na cidade de Baku, no Azerbaijão, entre os dias 11 e 22 de novembro. A participação de jovens brasileiros e de toda a América Latina nesta Conferência é essencial, pois a América Latina é uma das regiões mais afetadas pelas emergências climáticas, enfrentando desafios como desmatamento, perda de biodiversidade, eventos climáticos extremos e desigualdades socioeconômicas.
Além disso, a nossa participação na COP29 serve como uma preparação crucial para a COP30, que será realizada no Brasil. O Brasil, como país anfitrião, estará no centro das atenções globais em 2025, e é fundamental que a juventude latino-americana esteja bem preparada para desempenhar um papel de liderança neste cenário.
Ao participar da COP29, poderemos nos envolver profundamente nas discussões, construir redes internacionais e fortalecer nossa incidência política, para que, na COP30, possamos liderar debates e articular propostas que reflitam as necessidades e demandas da América Latina, uma região rica em biodiversidade e de importância estratégica para o equilíbrio climático global.
PRECISAMOS DO SEU APOIO
Faltando apenas 3 meses para a COP29, a delegação de jovens brasileiros do Engajamundo precisa do seu apoio para cobrir os custos de hospedagem em Baku, no Azerbaijão, onde ocorrerá a conferência.
Este ano, as agendas prioritárias do Engajamundo na COP29 serão focadas em três eixos principais: Transição Energética, Adaptação Climática e Financiamento Climático. E nós, juventudes diversas, precisamos estar lá, reivindicando justiça socioambiental e representatividade, levando as pautas que são prioridades para o Engajamundo e para as juventudes brasileiras.
ENTENDA A NOSSA CAPTAÇÃO
Para viabilizar a nossa participação na COP29, o valor mínimo da campanha será de R$ 20.000,00. Mas o valor ideal é de R$35.000,00 (nossa quarta meta), relativo às demais estratégias em curso pela delegação - como captação coletiva, aplicação de projetos, parceria com organizações parceiras e financiadoras - para arcar com os custos que fazem parte do projeto, como passagens aéreas, alimentação e seguro saúde.
CONHEÇA A NOSSA DELEGAÇÃO
Nossa delegação é composta por 22 jovens, com idades entre 18 e 30 anos, vindos das 5 regiões do Brasil. Dentre esses jovens ativistas temos cientistas políticos e ambientais, artistas, comunicadores, entre uma série de outras coisas.
Valorizamos a diversidade de realidades e vivências, buscando representar as diferentes perspectivas das juventudes brasileiras. Dessa forma, nosso grupo é formado por 11 mulheres, 9 homens e 2 pessoas não-binárias, incluindo a representação de pessoas negras, indígenas, PcD e LGBTQIAP+.
Este ano, pela localidade em que será realizada a conferência, estamos especialmente atentos à segurança dos membros da delegação identificados como mulheres.
Atuaremos por meio de estratégias de comunicação, advocacy e ativismo para trazer à tona as demandas, denúncias e propostas das juventudes, visando enfrentar a crise climática não só no Brasil, mas em escala global, considerando nossas articulações com outros coletivos da América Latina. Queremos construir caminhos para soluções baseadas na justiça climática.
A COP29 será um evento crucial para avançar nas negociações e implementar os planos climáticos discutidos até agora. Em uma cidade com altos custos, precisamos do seu apoio para levantar os recursos necessários para estarmos lá, lutando pelo presente e futuro do nosso planeta.

This is the official website of the “Engajamundo at COP29” campaign!
COP29 is the most important international space for climate decisions. Occupy decision-making spaces are extremely important for the present and future of all of us. And as young members of the Brazilian civil society, being present in these spaces is as necessary as it is challenging.
Engajamundo is a youth-led organization that believes in our responsibility as a fundamental part of the solution to the greatest socio-environmental challenges in Brazil and the world! We have already participated in 10 Conferences of the Parties from the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change). Now, our goal is to also be present at the 11th edition, COP29, which takes place this year in Baku, Azerbaijan.
To make it possible for us to bring our delegation of diverse, highly capable, and energetic youth to occupy this space and influence more just and effective climate policies, we need your support!
Our first goal will follow the "ALL OR NOTHING" model. If we don't reach the target, the money will be returned to the donors. And the amount? Twenty thousand reais (R$20,000.00)!
This amount will contribute to the accommodation costs of the delegation during the two weeks of the Conference. But our delegation is composed of 22 members, and to ensure that everyone’s participation is guaranteed at COP29, we effectively need R$35,000.00 (our fourth and final goal).

WHO ARE WE?
Engajamundo’s mission is to awaken in young Brazilians the awareness that by changing themselves, engaging in their communities and in politics, they can transform their realities and those of the people around them. We have over 2,200 young people in the network and 385 active youth across Brazil. We operate both in an online structure, with Working Groups dedicated to themes such as climate, biodiversity, gender, and sustainable cities and communities, and in an offline structure, with volunteer groups in various Brazilian cities, focusing on the territorialization of biomes and their specific agendas.
ENGAJAMUNDO AT UN CONFERENCES
In the Climate Working Group, we already have a long history at the Conferences of the Parties from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC): COPs 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28. Additionally, we have been present at the Climate Week (LAC Climate Week 2019), Bonn Conference, United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), Water Conference, Habitat III, General Assemblies, and other regional and international events such as the People’s Summit, and we are coordinating our 2nd Latin American Youth Climate Conference.
Engajamundo has been an active voice in the discussions of the three main international agreements in force: the Paris Agreement, the 2030 Agenda, and the New Urban Agenda, pressing decision-makers to incorporate the demands and perspectives of youth into these global pacts.
We have also been recognized along our journey: we were honored by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, received awards from MIT, Engineering Education for the Future, Climate Reality Project Brazil, (re):pensa, and had an animation awarded at the White Unicorn International Film Festival.
WHY DO WE WANT AND NEED TO BE AT COP29?
In 2024, COP29 will take place in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22. The participation of young Brazilians and all of Latin America in this Conference is essential, as Latin America is one of the regions most affected by climate emergencies, facing challenges such as deforestation, biodiversity loss, extreme weather events, and socio-economic inequalities.
Besides, our participation in COP29 serves as crucial preparation for COP30, which will be held in Brazil. As the host country, Brazil will be in the global spotlight in 2025, and it is essential that Latin American youth are well-prepared to play a leading role in this scenario.
By participating in COP29, we will be able to deeply engage in discussions, build international networks, and strengthen our political advocacy so that, at COP30, we can lead debates and articulate proposals that reflect the needs and demands of Latin America, a region rich in biodiversity and of strategic importance for global climate balance.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
With just 3 months left until COP29, the Engajamundo youth delegation needs your support to cover accommodation in Baku, Azerbaijan, where the conference will be held.
This year, Engajamundo’s priority agendas at COP29 will focus on three main areas: Energy Transition, Climate Adaptation, and Climate Finance. And we, diverse youth, need to be there, demanding socio-environmental justice and representation, bringing the issues that are priorities for Engajamundo and Brazilian youth.
UNDERSTAND OUR FUNDRAISING
To make our participation in COP29 possible, the minimum campaign amount will be R$20,000.00. But the ideal amount is R$35,000.00 (our fourth goal), related to other ongoing strategies by the delegation - such as collective fundraising, project application, projects with partner organizations and funders - to cover the costs that are part of the project, such as air tickets, food, and health insurance.
MEET OUR DELEGATION
Our delegation is composed of 22 young people, aged between 18 and 30 years, from the 5 regions of Brazil. Among these young activists, we have political and environmental scientists, artists, communicators, among many others.
We value the diversity of realities and experiences, seeking to represent the different perspectives of Brazilian youth. Thus, our group is composed of 11 women, 9 men, and 2 non-binary people, including the representation of black, indigenous, PWD, and LGBTQIAP+ individuals. This year, due to the location of the conference, we are particularly attentive to the safety of delegation members identified as women.
Our strategies are separated in communication, advocacy, and activism, to bring the demands, denunciations, and proposals of youth to the forefront, aiming to address the climate crisis not only in Brazil but on a global scale, considering our connections with other Latin American collectives. We want to build paths for solutions based on climate justice.
COP29 will be a crucial event to advance negotiations and implement the climate plans discussed so far. In a city with high costs, we need your support to raise the necessary resources to be there, fighting for the present and future of our planet.
